Helmet required | Minimum age: 16 years

Safety briefing at the start and during the course:

  • How to operate the brakes and gears
  • Adjust the bicycle saddle adjusted
  • Know the electric assistance modes
  • Winter conditions for bike paths, trails and the frozen St. Lawrence River
  • How to interact with other road, cycle path and trail users
  • Check and respect the speed suggested according to road and location conditions
  • Adapted circuits and driving
  • Difference between studded tires
  • Navigation and communication system

What to bring for a hike:

  • A bicycle helmet (you can rent a helmet for $5)
  • A small backpack
  • A bottle of water
  • Warm clothing (boots, mittens, gloves, balaclava or hat (remember that it will be worn under the bicycle helmet)
  • Hand and toe warmers (optional)

A radio (Navi) can be used for each bike or group of bikes. This radio allows you to track the fatbike and ensure that the course limits are respected. This radio can also be used for emergency communication.
